“A great coach once told me: 'you have five minutes to absorb a defeat and then move on to the next (fight).' We live and learn. Let's go back to the project board. I thank all the fans and critics. A defeat has never stopped me and it won't stop me now. See you at the top”, wrote the fighter.
Anderson arrived extremely confident for the confrontation against Jan. Among the North American's plans was the chance to challenge Jon Jones – who was watching the show from the front row – for the category belt. The fight, however, did not go as planned. Corey ended up being knocked out by his opponent in the first round and now he needs to get back on track to get back on the organization's radar.
Shortly after the confrontation, 'Bones' himself spoke about his compatriot's performance. For the champion, Anderson ended up losing focus, as he envisioned a fight for the belt even before he faced off against Jan, who proved to be a very competitive athlete in his last appearances.
The defeat to the Pole marked Corey's fifth since the fighter debuted as a professional in MMA.
A great coach once told me “you have 5 minutes to sulk and then it's on to the next one!” We live and we learn. Back to the drawing board. I appreciate each and every fan and hater! A loss has never stopped me and it ain't stopping me now. See yall at the top! #ufc
