It's still too early to say what the next challenge will be. Valentina Shevchenko, who defeated Ketlyn Chookagian in the co-main event of UFC 247, last Saturday (8), in Houston. After defending the flyweight title (up to 56,7kg) against Katlyn chookagian, the champion, however, listed three names that could appear as challengers in her next appearance. The statement was made at the press conference after the show.

“We just analyzed the fly rankings. We have Joanne calderwood (3ª), Jennifer maia (4th) and Roxanne Modafferi (5th). These three women are strong fighters. They have a lot of technique. Each one has a fighting style. I would love to face any of them”, said Valentina.
By beating Chookagian, Valentina ended up determining the defeat of the first in the ranking. In June last year, the Kyrgyzstani achieved an imposing triumph over Jessica Eye, which is currently in second place. It is now up to the athlete to look for fighters who appear in the following places on the list.
Coming from a defeat, Jennifer acted for the last time against Katlyn. On that occasion, in a dispute held at the UFC 244, in November last year, the Brazilian entered the octagon with the responsibility of winning, as the combatant who obtained a negative result would gain the opportunity to challenge Shevchenko.
The woman from Paraná was defeated in the unanimous decision of the judges, but she still occupies a prominent position in the category and could, in fact, fight for the title in the near future.
