Green's problems began in August 2018, when he drove drunk and two women died in an accident. The fighter was granted provisional freedom until the trial date – he had three fights for the UFC after the tragedy. Desmont Green, through his lawyer, denied that the fighter was responsible for the accident.
However, his situation became even worse on January 22nd. At the time, he was arrested for driving without a driver's license. It was at least his third inflation since the deaths. As a result, he is detained and awaits the hearing scheduled for March 6th. Desmont Green is currently housed in Broward County's main jail,
Fired after victories
Even with a positive history in the UFC – he had two consecutive victories – Green was released by the franchise due to his problems with the law. He quickly signed a contract with the Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) event.
Green, who has a professional record of 23 wins and eight losses, last played at UFC Rochester, when he won Charles Jourdain in the unanimous decision of the judges.
