Close to turning 32 and without working professionally in MMA since 2016, Ronda Rousey stated that there is no possibility of putting on gloves again in mixed martial arts. Former owner of the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg.), she discarded the chance to return to fight professionally and frustrated the plans of those who would like to see her in action again. The statement was made in an interview with her official channel on 'YouTube'.

I'm at a point where I don't want to sacrifice myself or my family, to prove something to a bunch of people who don't give a shit about me. I know, and the people who love me know. This is no longer a priority in my life”, concluded the sports legend.
Ronda became known worldwide after holding the first female Ultimate title. The American was one of those responsible for boosting the sport among women at a time when the company's president, Dana White, did not look favorably on female fighters working in his organization.
Rousey was bantamweight champion between 2012 and 2015. The fighter remained undefeated in her career until the fateful defeat suffered by Holly holm, at UFC 193.
The North American attempted a return to the sport by facing Amanda nunes, in December 2016. However, she was brutally knocked out by the Brazilian, which was responsible for ending the athlete's career.
After her successful stint in MMA, Ronda signed a million-dollar contract to work in WWE (wrestling). In the company, the fighter is considered one of the most charismatic stars, which helps in her refusal to return to mixed martial arts.
