China has become one of the main commercial markets in the world in recent years, and the UFC wants to take advantage of the momentum and begin operations in the country. UFC president, Dana White, guaranteed that his dream edition in China will take place in 2012.
“We are going to China this year, this is already happening. We will do the (reality show) The Ultimate Fighter there too”, said the president in an interview with the North American website MMAWeekly.
The Asian market is a major ambition for Ultimate. With an audience passionate about MMA, the UFC returned to Japan, after 12 years, in February, the 144th edition of the show.
