Still with no plans to return to the octagon, Thiago Marreta trains MC Guimê

Marreta, who is recovering from injuries to both knees, helped the singer during a training session in São Paulo

Thiago Marreta He still has no plans to return to the octagon due to the serious injury he suffered in both knees during the fight against Jon Jones. But, while he is in the final phase of treatment, the UFC light heavyweight is taking risks in another area. He took training from funk singer MC Guimê, in a condominium in the Alphaville region, in São Paulo.

Through his Instagram account, Marreta shared two videos in which he pulled the handle on Guimê (see below). The fighter even praised the artist's performance.

Thiago Marreta

The Brazilian Thiago Marreta was the last challenger for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93.1 kg.) Jon Jones. In the duel, held in UFC 239, in July 2019, the Tupiniquim athlete was the North American’s toughest rival. Even with ligament damage in both knees, he balanced the duel for 25 minutes, but ended up losing in a split decision from the judges.

Since the clash, Marreta has undergone surgery on both knees and is expected to compete again in the second half of 2020.
