The Brazilian Ketlen Scallop received a severe blow to the UFC 245. After returning to the octagon after more than a year away from MMA due to injuries, the athlete suffered her first career defeat when she exchanged forces against Irene aldana. Now, the 'Nova União' athlete will have the opportunity to recover at home, on the São Paulo card that will take place on May 9th. In December, Ketlen celebrated her return to MMA after recovering from injuries that kept her away from the sport for more than a year. The party, however, ended after the Brazilian suffered a hard knockout against Aldana at a time when she was dominating the fight against her rival.
The setback marked the first defeat of the Amazon native's career, who had been undefeated in 10 appearances as a mixed martial arts professional.
Against Reneau, Vieira will try to get back on track to winning ways and hopes to get back on track towards the elite of the category, which is dominated by her compatriot Amanda nunes.
Considered one of the promising bantamweights, Ketlen, 28 years old, currently occupies seventh position in the group.
In ninth, Marion also needs to win to breathe easy in the organization. The North American is going through a bad phase, coming off two consecutive defeats. At 42 years old, Reneau will complete his 15th fight since debuting in MMA. In total, there are nine triumphs and five setbacks.
For the São Paulo card, the UFC is also negotiating a meeting between José Aldo e Henry Cejudo as the main attraction. Athletes can face each other for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg).
