With a return to the Octagon scheduled for UFC 149, July 21st, Rodrigo Minotauro he will have to dedicate himself to another role besides training to face Frenchman Cheick Kongo. The fighter, who participates in the show “Dança dos Famosos”, from “Domingão do Faustão”, ended up falling into the repechage of the dispute.
In the program aired last Sunday (10), Minotauro and his teacher, Juliana Valcézia, received three votes from the technical jury and as the dispute ended in a draw, the audience cast their vote, sending the heavyweight to the repechage. With the result, Minotauro will not compete for a week.
After the announcement that he would be in the repechage, Rodrigo said that he fulfilled his duty and that he managed to do what he rehearsed and proposed, making no mistakes in his movements, despite his teacher not containing his emotion and bursting into tears.
