The spectacular return of Conor McGregor to MMA in UFC 246, last Saturday (18), after more than a year of inactivity, filled the eyes of many fans of mixed martial arts. After dethroning Donald Cerrone with just 40 seconds of fighting, the Irishman confirmed that he is still capable of putting on a show. While many praise 'Notório''s performance, Nate diaz, Conor's eternal rival, showed no excitement about his former opponent's triumph. On his 'Twitter' account, the North American disdained the feat.

Nate and McGregor's rivalry began in 2016, when Diaz fought against the Irishman on two occasions, winning one, and being defeated by the judges' decision on another.

Currently in eighth place in the welterweight rankings (up to 77kg.), Nate is coming off a defeat to Jorge masvidal in one of the biggest shows promoted by Ultimate in 2019. The fighter returned to the octagon last year after spending more than three years away from the sport. There were two performances, with one victory and one defeat.

At the current moment, Diaz is not one of the main names to exchange forces against Conor. According to the company's president, Dana White, the impressive victory over Cerrone put the Irishman in a position to compete again for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg.)

If the 'big boss' wishes come true, McGregor will then have to wait for the result of the confrontation between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Tony Ferguson, who hold one of the most anticipated fights in recent MMA history on April 18, at UFC 249.

In addition to being able to fight for the lightweight belt, Conor opened up possibilities of trying to face Kamaru Usman, current welterweight champion, in addition to being able to compete against Jorge masvidal for the symbolic title of 'Most Thick' in Ultimate.

  1. That's right Diaz, you have the morals to speak.
In fact, saying something that is clear but many don't want to see and others don't have the courage to say.
After all, you beat Corno McChicken twice: in one case, he gave the humiliating 2 slaps and, in the other, his boyfriend, Grana White, ordered the victory to be taken away from him.
And for these and other reasons I call the UFC the Ultimate Fake Circus.
    Kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
