Donald Cerrone predicts victory over Conor McGregor: 'Knockout with head kick'

North American appears calm about fighting at UFC 246, this Saturday, and maintains positive thoughts about the confrontation

As the hours pass, the moment of the long-awaited duel between Conor McGregor e Donald Cerrone, which heads the UFC 246, this Saturday (18), in Las Vegas (USA). Although the protagonists of the night are maintaining respect for each other, the 'Cowboy' did not shy away from questions from journalists and risked his guess about the outcome of the clash.

“Knockout with a kick to the head in the fourth round. I want to go in there and test myself, test him and have a busy fight. I trained hard for this, I'm here for it. There is a lot of glory when you knock someone out right away, but, for me, the glory is much greater when you go in to fight and answer those questions that are on your mind”, declared Cerrone.

Donald also revealed that he does not intend to deviate from his characteristics to face a dangerous athlete like McGregor. The idea is to fight an aggressive fight and try to lift the public present on the card.

“(I’m) going in there like a savage, takes a step back when I get hit, swallows the punch and keeps going forward. This is the disease that I have and that I love. If I could have a perfect fight, it would be a tough fight back and forth, almost a street fight,” he said.

Against the Irishman, Cerrone will reach an important milestone in his career. The North American will enter the octagon and complete his 51st appearance since making his professional MMA debut in February 2006. In total, 'Cowboy', who is coming off two consecutive defeats, has already won 36 victories, has 13 setbacks and one fight no results.

McGregor, in turn, will compete in his 26th fight. The Irishman, who is a former featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3kg) champion, has 21 positive results and four defeats in his career.
