In addition to the financial motivation, Conor made a point of highlighting his anxiety to return to the Octagon and face an athlete of high level and prestige within the organization. For McGregor, he and 'Cowboy' will provide a great spectacle for MMA fans and will honor the investment made by the company.

“Donald (Cerrone) and I have history. It's an exciting fight, which pleases the fans and me too. I thank Donald for fighting with me. He has fought many times, he is a family man, with an amazing grandmother. I like and respect that. I also respect the way he managed to be part of this fight. There's a lot involved in events like this, and I'm pleased to see respect coming from him. I'm looking forward to putting on a good fight. It will be a great night. I'm going to shine on Saturday”, declared the 'Notório'.

Even confirming the 'jackpot' he will receive for this weekend's spectacle, McGregor states that payments are not the main influence for him to remain within the sport. The fighter said that he continues to act out of love for MMA and competitions.

“For me, it’s not about fighting for money. I'm in a position where I have a lot of money for the rest of my life. No amount of money will satisfy my hunger to compete and entertain, and to live my life the way I want, the way I like to live. Too much money without the necessary awareness can be dangerous. There are no limits, there are no barriers. You can do anything, go wherever you want. Today I know what I want to do and what I like to do: fight. And that's what I'm going to continue doing. I am fully motivated and in the best physical and mental shape of my life,” said Conor.
