After 'ESPN' announced a possible reunion between Jessica Andrade, the 'Bate-Estaca', and Rose namajunas, Ultimate made the rematch between the North American and the Brazilian official for the UFC 249, on April 18, in New York (USA). The information was released on the official 'UFC Brasil' page, on Instagram.

'Bate-Estaca' and Namajunas exchange forces again in a completely different scenario from the first time they shared the octagon, in May last year, in the main fight of the UFC 237, in Rio de Janeiro.
At the time, the American accepted an unusual challenge. The then champion came to the challenger's land and put her strawweight title (up to 52,1kg) on the line in front of the Brazilian public. In the fight, Rose had a good start, but ended up surprised by the strength of her opponent, who achieved a brutal victory by applying a 'pile-driver' that led to an immediate knockout, driving the Tupiniquim fans crazy.
Eight months after the fight, Jéssica, who had become the owner of the belt, no longer holds the number one position. Andrade ended up being beaten in her first title defense, when she went to China and ended up defeated by Weili Zhang in the main fight of UFC Shenzhen, in August.
Now, the combatants exchange forces to try to become the challenger for the strawweight title, which will be put into play on March 7th, at UFC 248 in the dispute between Zhang and the former champion, Joanna Jędrzejczyk. The winner will be able to face the Chinese or the Polish woman next.
The protagonism of UFC 249 will be due to the long-awaited clash between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Tony Ferguson for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.).
