In a complicated situation within Ultimate, coming from three consecutive defeats, Brazilian Alex Oliveira, the 'Cowboy', is scheduled to face the North American Max griffin in one of the fights UFC 248, which takes place on March 7th. The announcement was made by 'MMA Junkie'.

At the end of December, Alex was negotiating to face Mickey gall in a clash that would take place on February 29, at UFC Norfolk. However, for no reason given, the fight ended up falling out of the organization's plans.
Now, the athlete has another opponent and needs to win, if he doesn't want to run the risk of being fired from the company. With two victories in his last five appearances, Cowboy was already considered one of the promises of the lightweight category (up to 70,3kg) and one of the favorites of the Brazilian fans.
Against Griffin, Oliveira will be committed to increasing his rival's number of negative results, as the North American lost to alex morono in a valid fight for UFC Tampa, in October.
At 31 years old, Alex will complete his 28th fight since turning professional in MMA. In total, the athlete from Três Rios (RJ) has 19 wins and eight losses.
At 34 years old, Max is also trying to return to the path of triumphs in his career, which has 22 clashes, 15 positive results and seven setbacks.
So far, the main fight of the UFC 248 will represent the meeting between Weili Zhang and Joanna Jędrzejczyk, who will face each other for the strawweight title (up to 52,1kg.). On that occasion, the Chinese will put her belt on the line for the first time and will give the Polish woman the chance to try to regain her former number one position, lost in 2017, when she was beaten by Rose namajunas.
