Scheduled to face Pettis, Diego Ferreira shows anxiety for the biggest fight of his career

In an interview with MMA Fighting, Diego spoke about his expectations for the battle.

“I think it’s a good fight for me. I arrive as an 'underdog', but I know what he's going to do standing up or on the ground. I'm going there to fight. I can't say anything different. I’m focused, so let’s go”, said Ferreira.

Against Anthony, the Brazilian will have the opportunity to confirm the good phase of his career and maintain his unbeaten run, which has lasted almost five years. Therefore, the weight of facing a great opponent and the chance to once again enter the UFC's radar to climb the category keeps Diego's concentration.

“I think about this fight 24 hours a day. I think about ways I can beat him. I can't stop thinking about what I have to do, what I can do and what I can try”, said the athlete.

Ferreira, however, showed sincerity when stating how he imagines the fight ending. The athlete does not initially foresee a knockout or submission. In Diego's idea, the athletes will duel until the end of the third round.

“I think it will be up to the judges to decide. It's going to be a fun fight for the fans. We're going to compete inside (the octagon). I don’t know how I’m going to beat him, but I’m ready to do it”, concluded the athlete.
