Recently, Jon Jones expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of serious challenges in the division in which he currently reigns. For the athlete, the light heavyweight division lacks the talent to pose major challenges. Knowing the statement, Johnny Walker decided to hit back at the North American, stating, on his Twitter account, that he will challenge the champion after his commitment at the UFC 244, which takes place on November 2, when he faces Corey anderson on the main card of the event.

Jones' dissatisfaction is due to the fact that he has already beaten most of the names that currently appear among the category's elite. In the top five, 'Bones' not only defeated the fourth, Dominick reyes, and fifth place, Jan Blachowicz. Jan, however, has a commitment scheduled against Ronaldo Jacare, UFC Sao Paulo, on November 16th.
The light heavyweight champion even suggested a move away from the sport to wait for the emergence of a new talent that could face him in the future. The North American also minimized Reyes' victory over Chris Weidman last Friday (18), at ufc boston. Jon even inferred that his compatriot, undefeated in his career, would be 'more of the same'.
Johnny arrived at Ultimate making a great impression among MMA fans and management. With just three fights for the company, the Brazilian is already in 11th place in the division and has less than three minutes inside the octagon, adding to the time Walker needed to beat his last opponents in the UFC.
On the November card, Johnny will face his biggest challenge since signing a professional contract with the company. The fighter will exchange forces with Corey anderson, which is currently in seventh position in the ranking. Considered a great promise for Brazil in the sport, Walker needs a new victory to enter the board's radar once and for all as a possible challenger to 'Bones'.
The Brazilian, now 27 years old, has 20 fights, with 17 victories and just three defeats. Walker hasn't known what it's like to lose since June 2016. Jones, in turn, boasts an unbeaten run that has lasted 10 years.
