Without winning in MMA since August 2016, Conor McGregor never tires of getting involved in controversies. This time, according to the North American newspaper 'The New York Times', the fighter is being investigated for sexual harassment in Ireland. This is the second time that the former Ultimate champion has made this type of complaint in 2019.

Irish law prevents the identity of those accused of sexual crimes (harassment or rape) from being revealed before sentencing. But several press outlets in the country reported the case as 'a famous Irish sportsman'. 'The New York Times', based on other findings, associated McGregor's name with the case and published the scoop.

Through an email sent to the 'MMA Fighting' website, Dublin police confirmed the existence of the complaint, but refused to give details about the accused.

“Dublin Police are investigating an alleged case of sexual harassment against a woman aged in her 20s which allegedly occurred on Friday 11th October 2019 at approximately 21pm on Drimnagh Road in the 12th District of Dublin . Investigations are ongoing and there have been no arrests so far. Due to the nature of the investigation, no further comments will be made at this time.”

Repeat offender.

This is not the first time that the name of Conor McGregor is involved in a sex scandal. In March of this year, 'The New York Times' itself reported a case involving the Irishman, which happened in December.

In the first accusation, McGregor was arrested in January, but was released due to lack of evidence. Irish police say the case is not yet closed and the investigation is continuing.

McGregor denies the allegations

Through his press office, the former UFC champion denied any involvement in the harassment case. “Conor McGregor is often the subject of rumors. He emphatically denies any allegations of sexual harassment.”
