Fighter suffers stroke and dies after defeat in fight in Chechnya

I fight in MMA. A tragedy struck 27-year-old fighter Bekzod Nurmatov three days after fighting Beslan Izaev in the XNUMXth edition of the Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA), in Chechnya. Bekzod, who lost to Izaev in a split decision between the judges, suffered a stroke, fell into a coma and died.

At ACA, Nurmatov entered the combat arena to try and add to his career winning streak. Before facing Izaev, Bekzod was on an undefeated streak of 10 fights. Bekzod's last defeat occurred in December 2016.

Nurmatov's opponent, 36-year-old Beslan, was trying to score his second victory in a row. More experienced, the athlete had, before the duel, 48 fights in his professional career. The fighter began his activities in 2004. In all his commitments, Izaev has 39 wins and 10 losses

Bekzod's burial will take place this Tuesday (8). The fighter, in his career, had 13 clashes, recording 11 wins and two losses.
