Sad news for the Brazilian public, MMA fans

. Sheymon Moraes, from Gonçalo, was released by Ultimate after five appearances for the company. The featherweight (up to 65,7kg) was coming off two consecutive defeats. The information was released by the athlete himself on his official Instagram profile.

"Hey guys. Unfortunately, I come here to share sad news: that today I am no longer part of the UFC. But that’s it, life goes on”, wrote the fighter.
After the publication, some fighters even commented on the Brazilian's publication in order to support the athlete. One of them was Gilbert Durinho, who recently scored a great win at UFC Copenhagen over Gunnar Nelson.
“You are mad (sic), brother. Always in the crowd”, wrote the welterweight.
Another fighter who appeared to give Sheymon strength in this difficult time was the experienced Thales leites, who is coming off a victory in the company over Hector Lombated.
“Strength and honor, brother. Head high and continue walking. I’m always in the crowd,” wrote Leites.
Moraes debuted in the UFC at the age of 26, in 2017. Right away, the Gonçalo native was selected to face a quarry. Ahead, the fighter had to face the promising Zabit Magomedsharipov. The fight was scheduled to take place at UFC Shanghai and the Brazilian ended up defeated by submission.
Sheymon managed to recover in his two other matches. The fighter achieved two victories in a row (2018), but went through a bad phase again. In his last two commitments, both in 2019, the fighter was defeated; one by decision and the other by knockout.
At 28, Moraes, who began his MMA career in 2012, currently has 15 fights, with 11 wins and four losses in his professional career.
