O UFC 243, despite all the pomp, will have few Brazilian representatives. In total, two athletes will sport Brazilian colors on the other side of the world, in Australia, this Saturday (5). Dhiego Lima, who is fighting against Luke Jumeau, hopes to put on a good performance and impress the board of directors along with his opponent in order to win the 'Fight of the Night' bonus. The statement was made in a recent interview with 'Combate'.

The Goiano player also made a point of showing that he studied his opponent this weekend. Although he stated that Jumeau is a cautious opponent, who does not take the initiative in his actions, the Brazilian thinks that the fight could unfold in an eventful manner.

“His counterattacks are very good, he’s a guy who doesn’t attack much. You have to keep an eye out every time you attack, I'll be right there in defense when it comes back. He’s a very calm guy, he waits for the fight, he doesn’t do much, but everything he does is right, he has very good Muay Thai too, his distance is very good”, praised the welterweight.

Lima, who managed to score just one knockout in four UFC fights, could increase this number after this Saturday. According to the fighter, his training ended up being completed in Thailand, known for being the birthplace of Muay Thai. With sharp hands and feet, the Brazilian could have his second clash ended before the clock stops.

“I finished this camp in Thailand, so my muay thai will be sharp, we'll put a little more kick in to keep the distance. Anyway, I'm prepared for everything, on the ground, standing up, in wrestling, so we'll see what happens”, said the athlete.

Coming off two consecutive victories, Dhiego will enter the octagon feeling more relieved. After going through a difficult time in the organization, when, in his first two appearances for the company, he was defeated on both occasions, the athlete managed to add two consecutive victories. Against Luke, the athlete will have the chance to win his third victory and begin a successful journey within the category.

Since debuting in MMA in 2010, the 30-year-old Brazilian has 21 fights in his professional record, with 14 wins and seven losses.

Goiano's opponent, Luke has already played on 17 occasions, registering 13 wins and four defeats.
