It wasn't a joke. The comedian and YouTuber Whindersson Nunes He debuted in boxing on the right foot. He faced his rival known only as Mario and won his first fight in the sport. The clash, played under amateur rules, was held at the New Champion event, this Saturday (28), in São Paulo.

Whindersson's triumph came through the judges' decision. In the fight, the YouTuber worked good jab and direct combinations and scored points to win the fight, while Mario bet on counterattacks on the waist line, which didn't faze the artist.
Still in the cage, the comedian talked about the experience of fighting in a fight for the first time.
“It was an incredible feeling… It’s sport helping many lives as always. Just because I achieved something doesn't mean I don't need things with sport. Congratulations to everyone, thank you Mário for this fight”, said the comedian without first ending with a joke. “Now I have to leave because I have a show in Campo Grande (laughs)”, joked Whindersson.
Fight history
Despite having only had his first fight, Whindersson Nunes is a big fan of combat sports and trains with prominent names on the national scene, such as Rodrigo Minotauro e Ronaldo Jacare. Currently, the comedian and YouTuber attends the former UFC gym lucas mineiro. Sport has helped Whindersson Nunes in a tough battle against depression, an illness he revealed he had been suffering from since the beginning of this year.
