Massaranduba and Macarrão face each other at UFC 147

Ultimate announced, this Tuesday (15), the first fight involving athletes eliminated from TUF Brasil. The middleweights Francisco Massaranduba e Leonardo Macarrão, who represented the Wanderlei Silva on the reality show, they will face off at UFC 147, an event scheduled to take place on June 23rd, at Ginásio do Mineirinho, in Belo Horizonte.

massaranduba arrived at TUF Brasil with a record of 10 wins and one loss. Even building his career as a lightweight, the athlete from Piauí debuted in the middleweight category and was considered one of the favorites. After qualifying for the reality show with a lightning knockout, massaranduba fought hard against Thiago Bodão, but was unable to return to the tiebreaker round and was eliminated from the contest.

In turn, Macarrão, who has a record of five wins and no losses, joined TUF after fighting the best fight in the qualifying phase. Once at the house, Leonardo put up a great fight against Cezar Mutantbut after winning the first round, he ended up submitted in the second round.
