The expectation was for a great fight, with a frank exchange of blows from two very aggressive athletes. But the duel between Yair Rodriguez, seventh in the featherweight rankings, and Jeremy Stephens, eighth in the standings, lasted just 15 seconds due to an illegal blow applied by the Mexican.
Stephens' long recovery period and the early end of the match frustrated the fans who filled the Mexico City Arena, this Saturday (21). In the end, the fight was declared a No Contest.
