Known as 'Flying Paraense', Michael Pereira promised and managed to fulfill, to a certain extent, the show for the public UFC Vancouver, this Saturday (14), in Canada. Although he excited the spectators at the beginning of the duel, the man from Pará ended up getting tired and losing his effectiveness against Tristan connelly, in the third fight of the preliminary card. After three rounds of combat, the Canadian was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.

Expectations were high to see how the man from Pará would do in his second appearance for Ultimate, since, in his debut, the fighter achieved an impressive knockout two minutes into the duel.

The show started right on Michel's way to the octagon. The athlete entered dancing a choreography rehearsed with his team and excited the audience.

When the referee authorized the start of the fight, Pereira began to perform irreverently, throwing complex but ineffective blows. At first, Tristan was cornered, but little by little he started to get into the game and understood how he could beat the Brazilian.

As the assaults progressed, the Paraense's energy began to weaken, and the Canadian took advantage of the advantage, along with the encouragement of the public in his country, and managed to score over Michel.

This was the 10th defeat in the career of the 25-year-old from Pará, who already has 35 appearances and 25 triumphs.

Tristan, 33, who accepted the fight with just five days notice, made his debut for the organization and completed his fifth consecutive victory.

The fight

The Brazilian started the fight by reversing the bases and applied a superman-punch. Connelly appeared cornered and began walking backwards. Michel showed that he really wanted to put on a show and threw plastic blows like two somersaults trying to hit the Canadian. The man from Paraná tried a rotating strike followed by a flying knee, which stopped in his opponent's guard. After standing, Pereira attacked Tristan's legs and managed a good takedown. Connelly managed to reverse the position and ended up on top of the Brazilian in guard. The man from Pará was almost surprised by a guillotine, but managed to get up. The Brazilian's pace was no longer the same and, at the end of the round, he almost suffered another submission.

In the second stage, the Canadian was looser and was already hitting the man from Pará more. Michel continued to throw blows, but without the same power as in the first stage. The athletes began to focus on frank striking and the knockout seemed increasingly imminent. Visibly more tired, Pereira tried to pull a rabbit out of his hat, but the Canadian showed more resistance. Michel's blows were no longer coming in with force and Tristan began to take advantage of the situation. With a good feint, Michel managed to get a good takedown on his opponent, and began to manage the fight. On top, the man from Pará produced little and ended up giving some gaps to suffer a submission. The round is then over.

PUBLICITY:

Tristan returned, again, more active in the final round. The Canadian continued to strike the man from Pará, who was almost caught in another guillotine choke. Michel managed to get out of position, but showed a visible disadvantage in the fight. Connelly continued to put pressure on the Brazilian, who produced little and seemed to just wait for the fight to end. In the final minute, the Canadian continued hitting Pereira from top to bottom and got the audience present in the arena on their feet.

The Brazilian Antonio Shoe Guy until he tried, but was unable to overcome his opponent's good takedown defenses in the UFC Vancouver. Although he entered the octagon with his famous strategy, the Jamaican showed that he had studied the Paraíba native's game and did not allow his opponent's transitions. After three rounds, Uriah was announced the winner in a split decision by the judges.

Shoe Face, who was already considered one of the Brazilian promises among the middleweights (up to 83,9kg.), needed to win to climb back up the division rankings. After the new defeat, he will probably remain in 13th place, while Uriah, who challenged Israel adesanya in the post-fight interview, he must return to the climb towards the top.

Hall began the fight by applying three left jabs in a row that touched the face of Shoe Face. After the attack, Uriah fired a straight right, which also exploded in the face of the Paraíba native, who soon sought to take down the Jamaican. Uriah's last attack resulted in the Brazilian profusely bleeding from his nose. The man from Pesso managed to reach his opponent's back, but was unable to make any progress in his attempts to finish. Hall managed to get out of position and the athletes returned to the frank exchange. Away from grappling, the Jamaican showed more danger and efficiency than the Paraíba native, who always tried to get his opponent's legs because he realized the disadvantage. Antônio began to receive repeated jabs to the face, but showed a great ability to absorb impacts. The Brazilian, in the final minute, managed to put the Jamaican on the ground again and tried to finish the fight, but there was no more time.

In the second round, Uriah continued to focus on jabs and straight shots. The Jamaican always presented danger when he managed to touch the Brazilian's face. At a disadvantage, Shoe Face he feinted a left jab and managed to get to his opponent's legs to try to get the takedown. Hall defended himself well, but was pressed against the cage of the octagon. The man from Paraíba tried to achieve progressions, but was faced with the physical strength of his opponent, who managed to free himself. After three minutes, the Jamaican threw a bomb into the Brazilian's face, who collapsed. Uriah attacked his opponent and almost achieved a knockout, but, after the man from Pesso almost managed to apply an armbar, he allowed Antônio to get up. In the stand-up fight, the situation was complicated for Shoe Face, but the athlete was saved by the bell.

In the final stage, the script remained similar. Hall continued to rely on punches, while the native of Paraíba attempted takedowns. In the first minute, Antônio managed a good takedown, far from the bars. Shoe Face he had time to develop his techniques, but Uriah showed that his training was up to date in his defenses. With little action, the public began to boo the lack of movement. In a better position, the Brazilian needed to move so that the fight would not be restarted standing up. The man from Pesso tried to finish as best he could, but the Jamaican tried hard to prevent the fight from being ended.
