Lula suffers broken arm and postpones return to UFC

Ednaldo Lula he will have to wait a little longer to seek rehabilitation in Ultimate. After debuting in the UFC with a defeat, Gabriel Napao, at UFC Rio 2, the athlete from Bahia was scheduled to face Nick Penner at UFC on Fuel 4. But a fractured arm during training took the Brazilian out of the event scheduled to take place on July 11th, in the United States.

Through his Twitter account, Lula confirmed the injury and that he is out of action. “I was going to fight on July 11th, but I fractured my arm and I won’t be able to fight,” Lula wrote on the microblog. The fighter also revealed on Twitter that he will need 35 days to return to training.

The fight against Penner would mark Lula's light heavyweight debut, and so far, the organization has not yet announced the American's new opponent.
