The Brazilian Michael Pereira He barely debuted in Ultimate and is already scheduled to be part of the company's main card. This Saturday (14), the athlete will be one of the Brazilian representatives in the UFC Vancouver, In Canada. The fighter will face Tristan Connely and, for the fight, he hopes to impress MMA enthusiasts once again. In an interview with 'Combate', the man from Pará spoke about his expectations for the confrontation.

“How it (the fight) ends, I don’t know. For you to understand, I have no strategy. 'Look, I studied the guy, he's bad on the ground. I'm going to throw him on the ground'. That's not the case with me. Whatever the music plays, I dance. You can wait and I’ll try to put on a show”, said the fighter.

The fighter, who has gradually become better known to Brazilian fans, says he will try to bring his unique style of approaching combat to Ultimate. The athlete is famous for his plastic strikes that are capable of surprising his opponents and raising the public's spirits.

“I'm going to try to do my best, show things that I don't think the fans have ever seen. I'm sure you've never seen it, because I created it. There are things I've never done at events, some I've done at other events and you've already seen. You can expect it to be a great fight, a great show”, said Michel.

Pereira, who has been called the 'Flying Paraense', debuted in Ultimate in May this year. In his first appointment, he surprised the audience that was watching UFC Rochester. In the confrontation against Danny Roberts, the Brazilian connected, right at the beginning of the fight, a flying knee, shaking his opponent and resulting in a subsequent knockout.

In the field of entertainment, Michel said he was inspired by Anderson Silva and even commented that he hopes to carry on the legacy left by the middleweight legend (up to 83,9kg) so that this style of combat remains alive.

Pereira's opponent, Tristan, 33, has 19 fights, with 13 victories and six setbacks. The Canadian will make his Ultimate debut.
