End of the mystery. Chris Cyborg finally confirmed where he will take his talent in the coming years. The athlete will be another one of Bellator's athletes, one of the biggest MMA companies in the world. The information was confirmed after a video was published on the organization's president, Scott Coker's official Twitter, on Tuesday afternoon (3). In the images, Cris herself gives the good news to fans of mixed martial arts.

After the caption, Cyborg appears in a video in which she announces her pride in being the newest hire of the new company. The athlete also reports the large number of fighters in the featherweight category (up to 65,7kg), something that was scarce in the UFC.

“I am very excited to announce that I have closed a deal with Scott Coker & Viacom and will be fighting for Bellator. You know they have a lot of featherweights and that means I'll have a lot of fights a year. I'm very happy about that. My difference is that I will be the only fighter to hold four belts from different organizations in the same division (Strikeforce, Invicta FC, UFC and, if I win the belt, Bellator)”, declared the Curitiba native.

It lasted just over a month, the wait for Cyborg to decide which organization he would wear the next gloves from. Since Cris had her last UFC fight, in July, at UFC 240, the athlete came into conflict with Dana White and the parties chose not to renew the contract. In this way, the Brazilian was free on the market to sign with any other company.

There were rumors of a possible move from Curitiba to the PFL, but, however, Bellator was the organization chosen by Cyborg.

In the new house, Cris already has a rival. To be the company's champion, as expected, the fighter will have to beat the Canadian, julia budd, who has worn the belt since March 2017. The 36-year-old athlete has 13 wins and two defeats on her resume.

Cyborg, 34, has 23 fights, with 20 wins, two losses and one duel without result. The Brazilian arrives at the new company after a victory over the former Invicta FC champion, Felicia spencer.
