The Ultimate board has been working to confirm the confrontation between the athletes for November 2nd, in the main fight of the UFC 244, which takes place in New York. However, Covington claims that the persecution of Usman has been going on since 2015, almost four years ago.

“It's a shame he's been running away from me for so long. Now, he has no choice. Either you face me or you don't fight anymore. You lose your belt and no one will hear from you again. The world will know what a coward you are. He has nowhere to go. It’s either put on the gloves or shut up,” Covington said.

One of Colby's favorite themes for teasing Kamaru is about the Nigerian's injuries. The athlete has not fought since March of this year, as he was recovering from surgery for a herniated disc. For the North American, this is nothing more than an excuse for not fulfilling commitments to the organization.

“He's been faking injury since the fight against (Tyron) Woodley (UFC 235). He arrived at the press conference after the fight in a wheelchair and later appeared having fun at a party,” concluded Covington.

In his last commitment, Colby fulfilled his promise and dominated the former category champion, Robbie Lawler, for five rounds and broke the record for significant blows connected in a single fight.

At 31 years old, the North American has 15 fights in his professional record, with 14 wins and one defeat.
