One of MMA's most popular athletes has returned with a vengeance to Ultimate. After hitting Anthony Pettis, Nate diaz at UFC 241, this Saturday (17), the North American left the doors open for a possible confrontation against his old rival, Conor McGregor, against whom he has already played on two occasions. The statement was made at the press conference after the event.

"Anything could happen. If schedules match, it can happen. I want to fight the best athletes in the world”, said Nate when asked about the possibility of a third fight against the Irishman in December.

Diaz is one of those people who speak their mind, no matter who it hurts. Known for his controversial statements and for not fitting the standard of other fighters, the North American, with his style, won over a large number of fans and opponents.

The athlete, who had not performed since 2016, when he was defeated by 'Notório' himself, received an enormous ovation during his entry into the octagon, where he faced Pettis this weekend.

Even with questions about a possible reunion with Conor, the athlete remained clear about his real intention. Diaz wants to face his compatriot Jorge masvidal, whose popularity increased after delivering a devastating knockout to Ben Askren in his last match.

Still in the octagon, Nate challenged Jorge, who smiled and seemed to like the proposal.

“I have a lot of respect for Jorge and what he did in his last fight. If you want to face gangsters, we are the only gangsters that exist in the UFC”, said Diaz, exuding his 'Bad Boy' reputation.

Diaz's request, however, pleased the president of Ultimate, who, also in an interview after the event, was in favor of a fight between the athletes.

“I would never have imagined that he (Nate) would ask for this fight. But, who wouldn’t want to see this duel?”, asked White.

With the triumph over Anthony, Nate added his 20th career victory, which also includes 11 setbacks.
