The Brazilian Vincent Luque He has good morals in the UFC. After performing well and winning a good victory in the duel against Mike Perry in the co-main fight of UFC Montevideo, this Saturday (10), the athlete suggested that his next confrontation would be against the former challenger for the welterweight title (up to 77kg.) Stephen Thompson, currently seventh in the ranking. The statement was made at the press conference after the card in Uruguay.

“I believe that the best name for me now is Stephen Thompson. I imagine he doesn't have a fight scheduled for the end of the year. I believe we can fight in December. I think it would be a great fight for everyone and, for me, it is a fight that interests me a lot”, said the fighter.
Thompson is currently not going through a good phase in his career. The fighter, who had a great time between 2013 and 2016, remaining undefeated for eight fights, including a draw against the former division champion, Tyron woodley, in which the fight ended in a draw, comes from three defeats in the last five engagements. The American hasn't fought since March of this year.
Luque was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges. Even though in the opinion of one of the professionals the Brazilian was defeated in the confrontation, Vicente states that he believes he won all three rounds against Perry.
“When I'm in a fight, it's difficult to give points. In my count, I won every round. I think I was throwing the best punches. He hit me with a few blows, but nothing that made me feel in danger”, said Vicente, who, upon reflection, imagines that the judge may have understood that the athlete lost the third round due to the takedown applied by Mike. “I believe that may have been it. When I connected with the flying knee and he put me on the ground, he may have considered that I lost the round”, said the fighter.
The fighter was also asked if he has fun performing the type of fights he presents to MMA enthusiasts. The fighter is known for his aggression and for not holding back when delivering powerful blows to his opponents. Vicente is a fighter who always looks for the knockout, regardless of the opponent.
“I'm a fighter who always has fun when he's in the Octagon. I do this (fight) because I love it. I love. Regardless of how hard my opponent will hit me, I will still have fun. In a moment when I hit him (Perry) today, he smiled at me and I smiled back. It means he was enjoying the fight and so was I”, declared the Brazilian.
Vicente, in the last 10 months he has carried out a true marathon of combats. There were four presentations in less than a year. The Brazilian, in addition to his busy schedule, won in all presentations. Luque hasn't known what it's like to be defeated since 2017, when he was beaten by Leon edwards in the unanimous decision of the judges. The Brasiliense is on a six-game winning streak.
