The Brazilian Vincent Luque and the North American Mike Perry were protagonists of one of the best fights at UFC Montevideo, held this Saturday (10), in Uruguay. In an open and tense fight, the fighters did not shy away from contact and exchanged blows for practically the entire engagement. After three rounds, Vincent Luque was declared the winner in a split decision by the judges.

The fight between the fighters was one of the most anticipated due to the well-known aggressiveness of both fighters and, when the referee authorized the start of the fight, the two met the expectations of MMA fans.
After the fight ended, a strong image stole the show. After receiving a knee, the American's nose broke badly, creating a frightening scene.
With the triumph, the Brasilia native reached his fifth consecutive victory and now hopes to enter the top 15 of the welterweight division (up to 77kg), currently reigned by Kamaru Usman. Perry, who was coming off a great victory over Alex Cowboy, occurred
The fight
The first round began with Perry connecting the best blows. The fight unfolded in a tense manner, with both throwing punches and kicks to the body and opting for a stand-up fight. Three minutes into the fight, Vicente managed to land a good flying knee that hit the North American, but the athlete was surprised by not falling. The fight continued with the two athletes testing each other's resistance with powerful attacks, but the combatants' defenses were up to scratch.
Luque, in the second stage, started attacking his opponent, who began to hold back his blows more. The Brazilian performed well in punch combinations and took advantage of the fact that Mike appeared to be more tired. Even without the same mobility, Perry was still dangerous with his strikes. Sometimes, the fighter surprised Vicente with punches to the face and waist area. In the final minute, Mike's face was bleeding heavily and the Brazilian began to mine the area to increase the cut on the North American's face.
The fight remained balanced in the last round. The fighters continued to throw a lot of blows. After two minutes, Perry had redness on his left thigh and appeared to feel Luque's kicks there. Upon realizing the disadvantage, Perry began to focus on grappling, approaching Vicente and pressing the athlete against the bars. The fans, however, did not approve of the attitude and began to boo the fighters. The match referee, noticing the inactivity, separated the athletes. Near the final minute, Mike attempted a takedown on the Brasiliense, but ended up in an unfavorable position, falling into an almost trapped guillotine from Vicente. The North American showed a lot of courage and got rid of the position. The fight then ended.
