The period of 'unemployment' Chris Cyborg should be shorter than expected. After the end of her contract with the UFC and the revelation by Dana White, president of the franchise, that she will not renew with the Brazilian, the new destination could be Bellator. Scott Coker, who runs the event and has worked with the Paraná native at Strikeforce, was enthusiastic about having the athlete on board.

In an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie, Coker revealed his interest in having Cyborg in his squad: “This is great news. I'll call Audie (Attar) ('Cyborg's manager) in five minutes,” he said.
The Bellator president even defended Cyborg against Dana White's accusations. The UFC president had said that the Brazilian was afraid of the rematch against Amanda nunes. “I don't even know what to say about it. ‘Cyborg’ is not afraid of anyone,” she concluded.
Reunion
Chris Cyborg and Scott Coker already had a partnership in another event. The two worked together at Strikeforce between April 2009 and December 2011. There were four fights with three wins and one no contest (No Contest).
