Another chapter of the soap opera between the Brazilian Chris Cyborg and Ultimate is being written. With her contract terminated after her last fight at UFC 240, the Curitiba native is free to sign a commitment with any other company or even formalize another deal with her current company. An obstacle for Cris is the decision to be made about accepting a new fight against Amanda nunes and try to erase her last defeat or permanently end her relationship with the UFC and Dana White, with whom the Brazilian does not have a good relationship. In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani Cyborg demanded that White publicly apologize for past offenses against the Curitiba native in order to begin a new agreement.

“Of course he (Dana) has to apologize. He has a family, children and I think he wants to be honest. He has to do this. I don't know if he has a heart, but what he's done hasn't just affected me. It has affected people around me. My family. It's not right. When you do these kinds of things, you affect my family,” Cyborg said.
When the athlete talks about the UFC president's attitudes, the fighter refers to offenses directed at her by the president in the past. White, at one point, made offensive jokes regarding the Brazilian's physical appearance. Furthermore, Dana has publicly stated that the Curitiba native does not want to accept a new fight against Nunes out of fear. The information about the fear about the new clash against the 'Lioness' is frequently denied by Cyborg. Cris also asks the president to publicly apologize so that a new relationship can begin.
“It (the apology) has to be public. It's easy to apologize when they don't have cameras on you. If you're sorry, don't come and talk in private. Go public”, said the former featherweight champion.
After his last appointment, last Saturday (27), Cyborg wore a shirt inciting a new dispute against Amanda for January of next year. However, in her press conference, the athlete tried to state that the negotiations would not only be conditioned on the fight between her and her compatriot. There would also be a need to resolve problems involving her, the company and, of course, President Dana.
The next few months will certainly be intense negotiations. Furthermore, the Brazilian will also have proposals from other organizations, such as, for example, Bellator, whose president has already publicly declared that he wants to talk to the Curitiba native.
