The light heavyweight (up to 93kg.) Sam alvey, opponent of the Brazilian Klidson Abreu this Saturday (20), at UFC San Antônio, in the United States, he showed confidence by declaring that he is not afraid of Manaus jiu-jitsu. In a recent interview with 'Sherdog.com', the North American, who is known for his knockout power, reported that he is prepared to fight in any area in this weekend's fight.

“I can fight anywhere. My team knows how good I am, both on the feet and how good I am on the ground. No matter what happens. We will all see my hand being raised at the end”, declared the fighter.
Even though he exuded confidence, Sam showed a lot of respect for Klidson's ground game and highlighted the precautions that must be taken during the fight, which will represent the fifth fight of the night.
“He has a great ground game, so I need to be twice as careful not to fall into his traps. I train jiu-jitsu with some of the best athletes in the world, like Rafael Lovato and Dan Henderson, as well as others,” said Alvey.
However, the North American reveals that his priority will always be to knock out his opponent, as the action excites the MMA fan public.
“People like to see knockouts, so I want to give them that. However, if it doesn’t happen, that’s okay”, concluded Sam.
On the Brazilian side, Abreu also showed his confidence for his new challenge. In an interview with 'Combate', the man from Manaus stated that he had studied the qualities and defects of his opponent this Saturday and already has a strategy drawn up to emerge victorious.
“He’s a fighter, but I’m a fighter too. In this category (light heavyweight) you can't mess around, one hand can end an entire fight. The easiest way is to take it to the ground. He defends takedowns very well, but he doesn't have very good jiu-jitsu. I'm a black belt, I think this is the best way to achieve victory. I only see the submission, there is a gap there in jiu-jitsu. I want a good finish”, said the Brazilian.
This will be Klidson's second fight in the UFC. In his debut, which took place almost five months ago, the athlete was defeated by Magomed Ankalayev by unanimous decision of the judges. A victory over the North American will then give the fighter confidence in his future.
Abreu, today, is 26 years old and has 17 fights in his professional record, with 14 wins and three defeats.
Sam, 33, much more experienced, has 46 fights, with 33 victories, 12 setbacks and one unsuccessful duel.
