UFC president, Dana White, announced last Friday (20) that Frank mir would be the replacement for alistair overeem in the title fight against junior gypsy at UFC 146.
With the confirmation of the valid fight for the title, Cain Velazquez, who would face Mir in the same event, had been left without an opponent. But this Sunday, the Ultimate organization confirmed that the former UFC champion will face the Brazilian Antonio Pezão. The announcement was made by Dana White himself through his Twitter account.
“Don’t believe the rumors you see on the internet,” wrote Dana on the microblog, making reference to Velasques’ possible departure from the fight program. “Cain fights 'Bigfoot' Silva, May 26th in Las Vegas”, added the director.
