The city of Belo Horizonte is expected to be the host city for the highly anticipated UFC 147, an event scheduled to take place on June 23rd. The capital of Minas Gerais, it seems, will replace Rio de Janeiro, which will not host the show due to Rio+20, the United Nations meeting, which ends on the eve of the fight program.

According to the SUPER FIGHTS, Ginásio do Mineirinho received, this Thursday and Friday, a visit from a representative from IMX, a company owned by billionaire Eike Batista, which organizes UFC events in Brazil. The purpose of the visit was to assess the conditions of the site and then decide on the event.
If UFC 147 is confirmed in Belo Horizonte, it will be the first time that the capital of Minas Gerais hosts an international MMA event. The fight program, which will not feature the fight between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, features as its main attraction the rematch between Vitor belfort e Wanderlei Silva, in addition to the grand finals of TUF Brasil.

I hope that Overeem is punished because Chael Sonnen already had the same type of stance and nothing happened to him so applause to Dana Wite for that stance!!!!!.
