Fedor renews with Bellator and Russian will have MMA farewell tour

Russian legend renewed his contract with Bellator after losing the heavyweight GP final to Ryan Bader

Chael Sonnen announced his retirement from MMA last Friday (14) at Bellator 222. However, the organization chaired by Scott Coker will be saying goodbye to another star soon. The show announced that the Russian legend Fedor Emelianenko signed a contract for his farewell tour of the sport.

Fedor, who is considered by many to be the greatest heavyweight of all time, has a long MMA record of 38 wins, six losses and one No Contest fight. He reigned over the now-defunct Pride between 2002 and 2006. He also played in events like Rings and Strikeforce. Among the most notable victories of his career are names such as: Rodrigo Minotauro, Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Hunt and Mark Coleman.
