The Brazilian Francisco Massaranduba has a new commitment scheduled with the UFC. The fighter will face the North American Alexander Hernandez at UFC San Antônio, which takes place on July 20th, in the United States. The information was released by the website 'Cageside Press'. massaranduba hasn't fought since September last year.

Francisco, who turned 40 on the 24th, is one of the athletes most identified with by the Brazilian public. Always humble, the fighter always shows a lot of willpower to face the opponents chosen by the company. This time, the Piauí native will have a great challenge ahead. massaranduba will face the 13th placed in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.) and, if he wins, he could be among the top 15 in the category.
In his last match, the Brazilian won a great victory by beating the North American Evan dunham by technical knockout in the second round, in UFC Sao Paulo, in November.
His opponent, Alexander, is coming off a historic knockout against his compatriot Donald Cerrone, which took place in January of this year. Before his latest setback, Hernandez had put together an eight-fight winning streak. The athlete, however, will only have his fourth UFC fight.
The two athletes should have faced each other at UFC 233, which would take place on January 26th. The event, however, was canceled and the fighters relocated to other commitments.
Francisco has 29 fights in his career, with 23 victories and six defeats.
More Brazilians on the card
With the fight scheduled, Masaranduba will join two other Brazilians who are part of the group of fighters who will perform at UFC San Antônio.Felipe Cabocão he will fight a duel against Domingo Pilarte; and Gabriel Silva will exchange forces against Ray Borg.
