The relationship between UFC and Cyborg has shaken again in recent days. The Brazilian criticized the Ultimate leader after the president stated that the Brazilian refused to face Amanda nunes in a rematch for the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg.). The former champion spoke about the subject in a recent interview on 'Ariel Helwani's MMA Show'. Cris only has one more fight left on his contract with the organization.

“He knows I texted him the day after the fight. After the press conference, I said I wanted the rematch. He is trying to tarnish my image, saying that I am afraid to fight,” said the athlete.

Cyborg was defeated by Amanda nunes after her compatriot shocked the world and delivered a devastating knockout to the former champion just 51 seconds into the fight, in December last year, at UFC 232. After the fight, a rematch was considered, however, the 'Leoe' expressed the desire to return to the old division to defend its belt against Holly holm.

After the UFC 'boss' statements about the Brazilian, which took place last Saturday (8), in a press conference after the UFC 238, the woman from Curitiba reported that White lied in her statements and also criticized the company's president harshly.

“He’s that guy who said I look like the Wanderlei Silva in a skirt, who laughed when Joe Rogan said I have a penis. He's that kind of guy. He goes online to say that I'm afraid to tarnish my image. The people who follow me know who I am. I'm not afraid of anyone. They know I wanted the rematch, they know it didn’t happen because he denied it,” said Cyborg.

Cris has already had his last appointment scheduled at the end of May. The Brazilian will face Canadian Felícia Spencer, former Invicta FC champion, in the co-main fight of UFC 240, in July, in Canada. Regarding a possible renewal of her commitment to the organization, Cyborg stated that she is open to conversations, but did not rule out migrating to another company.

“I hear the UFC saying I have no value. That the people of Brazil don't want to know about me. After this fight (against Spencer), I have to wait a bit and I want to find other promoters. I want to see the value I have. Why not?” asked Cybor.

The Curitiba native had her first UFC fight in 2016, after a long period of negotiations. The difficulty in finding opponents worthy of Cyborg has always been a difficulty for the company, due to the athlete's category and extreme competence in MMA. After being defeated by Nunes and losing the belt, Cyborg then ended up losing ground to the promoters.

Currently, Cris is 33 years old and has 23 fights in his professional record, with 20 wins, two losses and one fight without result.
