The sky seems to be the limit for Henry Cejudo. After winning the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg.) over the Brazilian Marlon moraes last Saturday (9), at UFC 238, the athlete confirms his desire to move up a category again and challenge the experienced Frankie Edgar, if the compatriot defeats Max Holloway and the new featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) will be crowned. The information was disclosed in a recent interview with the website 'MMA Junkie'. Cejudo currently also holds the flyweight title (up to 56,7kg).

“The fight I really want, and this has everything to do with competition, would be against Frankie Edgar, if he wins the duel against Max Holloway. This is the matchup I’m interested in,” said Henry. “I like his (Edgar) stature. I think the weight is very good and he is a wrestler”, said the fighter.

The interest in another title, however, may not surprise some MMA enthusiasts, as Cejudo has recently been stating his desire to make history in the company. The athlete, however, has gradually managed to silence critics and achieve great things in Ultimate.

“It’s nothing against Frankie. I just want to face the best. I know he doesn't believe me. But why not? Why can’t I win another belt?” asked the American.

The Olympic champion also criticized people who insist on distrusting his potential. For Cejudo, the athlete has been showing his potential and ability to establish himself as one of the greatest athletes in the history of MMA at each event.

“People have been telling me I can’t do it. They said Marlon (Moraes) would beat me by knockout. They said I would be stopped by Demetrious Johnson e TJ Dillashaw”, shot Henry.

After the last card, Cejudo became one of the athletes to win two titles in different UFC divisions. Furthermore, the fighter carries with him a feat that is difficult to beat. Henry is currently the only athlete in the history of Ultimate to hold an Olympic gold medal and wear two of the organization's belts around his waist.

Frankie Edgar faces Max Holloway in the main fight of UFC 240, which takes place on July 27th.
