Even though he has been away from the fighting world for more than seven months, Conor McGregor still continues to be remembered by athletes from different sports. In a recent interview with 'TMZ', the current WBA (World Boxing Association) welterweight champion (up to 66,6kg) launched a challenge to the Irishman, who had a million-dollar fight against Floyd Mayweather in 2017. Keith has a fight scheduled against Pacquiao for July 20th.

“You know that in boxing you will make money too. Fight with me, Conor”, challenged the champion.

The fact that McGregor is well known for the knockout power of his left hand, Thurman was not impressed with Conor's skills. In the duel against Floyd, Conor became easy prey in the 10th round, when he appeared to be physically exhausted and ended up defeated by knockout by the veteran.

“Floyd (Mayweather) put him down and hit him like he was joking,” commented Keith, who also minimized McGregor’s qualities. “He wants to talk nonsense? Does he want to think he actually has hands? Stop it”, asked the boxer.

Keith, despite being a current world boxing champion, is just another person wanting to 'take a piece' of Conor. With his innovative way of promoting fights, the Irishman really turned his fights into real deals, which bring in a lot of money to the parties involved.

While McGregor only has one professional boxing fight, Thurman has an impeccable record. In 30 fights, the 30-year-old fighter has never been defeated. This fact can be a differentiator and make the invitation seduce the Irishman. However, Conor makes his decisions his way and almost always gets what he wants.

The 'Notorious' hasn't fought since October last year, when he was defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov in contention for the UFC lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg).
