The Brazilian legend, Anderson Silva, seems to have finally made up his mind about the course of his career. After almost a week of doubts, the fighter stated in an interview with 'TMZ Sports', last Thursday (16), that he is not yet retired. The athlete was defeated last Saturday (11) after suffering a knockout to Jared Cannonier in the first round, in UFC 237, and even put his future in MMA in question.

The athlete also commented on the next steps to deal with his apparent knee injury, which ruled him out of last weekend's fight.

“I'm going to relax a little, take care of my knee, do physiotherapy and then we'll see. But I’ll be back soon”, confirmed the legend.

Silva's plans still remain pretentious. According to the middleweight (up to 83,9kg), he has already spoken with the company's president, Dana White, about the possibility of a rematch against his last tormentor. The president, however, tried to cool things down and asked 'Spider' to take care of his health first.

“I spoke to Dana about it, but he just said, 'go home, rest, get your knee fixed and we'll see.' But it’s a great possibility”, concluded Anderson.

If the former champion recovers, it is possible that his request will be granted. Silva enjoys a lot of prestige with the company, which he has already helped in several situations.

Anderson Silva He is currently 44 years old. Even though he is an undisputed talent in the sport, his current performance in the company leaves something to be desired. In his last 10 fights, the athlete won only four, being defeated in five and had one fight without result.
