Paul Malignaggi seems not to have gotten over his anger at Conor McGregor. In a video published on his Instagram account last Wednesday morning (1), the former boxer spat on a wall with the image of the Irish fighter drawn on it, in Santa Monica (USA). During his preparation for the duel against Floyd Mayweather in 2017, Conor published images of his sparring session against Malignaggi in which the former boxing champion appeared to have been punished by his training partner, which angered Paul.

At the time, McGregor sought out big names in world boxing to help with his training so that, in this way, he could perform at the height of Floyd Mayweather, who is a legend in the 'noble art'. After a boxing training session, however, Conor published images of Malignaggi allegedly getting the worst of the session, having even been taken to the ground.
There is a verbal agreement behind the scenes of the fight that the training sessions should not be publicized outside the gyms. Paul then rebelled against the UFC star and, from that moment on, started making statements against the Irishman, even challenging Conor to a duel in the ring.
Paul, 38, last fought professionally in March 2017, when he was defeated by Briton Sam Eggington for the WBC (World Boxing Council) world title. In his years as a boxer, the American fought 44 times, winning 36 and being defeated eight times.
McGregor, however, has only performed once under professional boxing rules. The 'Notorious' was defeated by knockout in the 'superfight' against Floyd and, after the clash, returned to MMA.
