Brock Lesnar 'loses' WWE belt and practically guarantees return to UFC

The giant Brock Lesnar lost his WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) belt last Sunday night (7), at Wrestlemania 35. After performing at the event, the North American left the show defeated and practically guaranteed his return to the UFC, as he cannot act for both organizations. The WWE 'Universal Champion' becomes Seth Rollings.

Last year, after winning the UFC heavyweight belt over Step Miocic at UFC 226, Daniel Cormier, challenged the former division champion, Brock Lesnar. Brock, who was present at the event, went up to the cage and had a tense confrontation with his opponent. Since then, rumors about a possible clash between the athletes have been speculated by the world press.

Brock became famous for his impressive physical strength and for performing in one of the main wrestling organizations in the world.

In 2007, Lesnar finally made his MMA debut, facing South Korean Min-Soo Kim on K-1 Dynamite. Less than a year later, the American signed a contract with Ultimate and had his first fight in the organization, against Frank mir, at UFC 81. At the time, Brock was defeated by submission in the first round.

After his debut in the UFC, Lesnar fought seven more times in the company. In one of them, he won the heavyweight belt by knocking out the legend Randy Couture, at UFC 91. The giant defended his title twice, but lost it when he faced Cain Velazquez and was knocked out in the first round.

Brock has not fought in the sport since September 2016, in the clash with the New Zealander, Mark Hunt. Initially, Lesnar won the fight, but ended up failing the anti-doping test, thus changing the outcome of the 'battle' to 'no result'.

Much controversy surrounds the return of Brock Lesnar to the UFC for a direct fight for the belt, since the fighter is not even ranked in the organization.

The date for the clash to take place is being considered, according to the website 'Ag.Fight', for UFC 241, which takes place on August 17th. The location has not yet been defined, but Las Vegas (USA) could be the chosen location.
