In an interview with the MMA Weekly website, Josh Barnnett confirmed that he will face Brazilian Pedro Rizzo in the United States, on July 19th. The fight will be at the premiere of the Affliction event.
I said that after he knocked me out, I would go after him, and that this time I would knock him out. So I have to keep my promise and be true to my word,” Barnett said.
The first duel between the two took place in February 2001. On that occasion, during UFC 30, Rizzo won by knockout at 4:21 of the second round.
