Anderson Silva fought a great battle with Israel adesanya in the main fight of UFC 234, this Saturday (09), in Melbourne (AUS). After three intense rounds, the Brazilian was defeated by the young Nigerian in the judges' decision. Despite calls for an immediate rematch, UFC president Dana White has other plans for Spider.

In a press conference after the event, White revealed that he would like to have his third fight Anderson Silva against Chris Weidman, his first executioner in the Octagon.
“I'm interested in doing Silva x Weidman 3. If they both want to do it,” Dana said in the press room.
The middleweights faced each other at UFC 162 and UFC168, in June and December 2013, respectively. In both clashes, Weidman left the octagon with the victory.
In the first meeting, the Brazilian let his guard down, but ended up being hit by punches from the North American and suffered his first defeat in Ultimate. In the reunion between them, the saddest moment of Spider's career. He suffered a severe leg fracture when he tried to low kick Chris and was out of competition for a long time.
Dana rejects Anderson x McGregor duel
In addition to the fight with Weidman, journalists questioned whether White would like to do a super fight between Anderson Silva e Conor McGregor. However, the UFC president was categorical and reaffirmed that he has no interest in the duel taking place.
