Khabib Nurmagomedov finished Conor McGregor and retained the lightweight belt at UFC 229, in October 2018. After the main fight in Las Vegas (USA), the two teams of athletes participated in a general fight and the protagonists of the fight will be judged by the Nevada Athletic Commission ( NAC) earlier this year. Optimistic with the outcome of the trial, UFC president Dana White believes that if everything goes as imagined, the rematch between the arch-rivals will take place in 2019.

“A lot of people want to see this fight. But again, we have to wait for the Nevada Athletic Commission to meet. When it happens, we will know how things will turn out. If all goes well, depending on the length of the suspensions, the second fight between Conor McGregor e Khabib Nurmagomedov it will happen in 2019”, said White in an interview with the North American website TMZ Sports.
The trial of Khabib and Conor at the Nevada Athletic Commission is scheduled for January 29th in the city of Las Vegas. The committee will evaluate the participation of Nurmagomedov and McGregor and thus, possible suspensions and fines will be defined.
