UFC fighter's husband pays bail of US$75 and will face charges in freedom

Honolulu court reclassified Arnold Berdon's charge to second-degree assault. With that, he paid bail and will respond to the case outside of prison.

Arnold Berdon was arrested after being accused of attacking UFC fighter Rachael Ostovich on Sunday (18) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Due to a reclassification of the accusation carried out by the Court of Justice, the athlete can pay bail of US$ 75 thousand and will respond to the case in freedom. Now, he will be tried for second-degree assault and no longer for attempted murder. The information is from the North American website MMA Fighting.

Ostovich's husband claimed he was innocent and was just trying to defend himself against his wife. The preliminary hearing in the UFC fighter's assault case will be held on December 18th and Berdon will have to appear in court.

The attack on Ostovich took place in the early hours of November 18th. Due to the attack, the fighter was hospitalized and suffered a fracture in her orbital bone. Rachael stated that she was repeatedly struck by Berdon on the head, face and ribs. After the episode, the UFC fighter asked her husband for a restraining order.
