With the return of the former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones In the near future, many fighters are already presenting themselves as possible rivals. This time it was from the Swedish fighter, Ilir Latifi who challenged the North American through his Twitter. He even questioned the legitimacy of the reign of Daniel Cormier as light heavyweight champion.
"Jon Jones, undisputed champion. When you are ready, I am ready to welcome you back to the Octagon,” Latifi said in his tweet.

Jon Jones hasn't entered the ocótogno since July 2017 when he knocked out Daniel Cormier to regain the light heavyweight title. Even though he won, Jones failed a pre-fight drug test and his fight was ruled a non-title contest and he was returned to 'DC'. The former champion is currently awaiting sentencing from the United States Anti-Doping Agency, but the widespread expectation is that he will be eligible to compete again soon.
Ilir Latifi comes from two consecutive victories, having recently defeated Tyson Peter by decision and Ovince saint preux by completion. His last defeat came in September 2016, when he was eliminated by current Bellator champion, Ryan bader.
