Shortly after announcing its calendar for the remainder of 2018, Brave Combat Federation announced two fights on the card that will mark the promotion's return to the United Arab Emirates: the champions Carlston Harris (welterweight) and Elias Boudegzdame (featherweight) face Jarrah Al-Selawe and Bubba Jenkins, respectively. Brave 16 is scheduled for September 21st, in Abu Dhabi.

Harris hasn't fought since August last year, when he won his inaugural 77kg belt with a dominant victory over Englishman Carl Booth, at Brave 8, in Curitiba. Born in Guyana, “Moçambique” trains and lives in Rio de Janeiro for more than seven years. He will face Al-Selawe, who became the most successful fighter in the organization's history, with five victories, by dominating the dangerous French-Algerian Tahar Hadbi in his last appearance, at Brave 12, in Indonesia. The duel between the two will serve as the main fight of Brave 16.

Boudegzdame will face the biggest challenge of his career. “Smile” comes from six straight victories, with five submissions and a technical knockout. The French-Algerian won the belt against Masio Fullen at Brave 4 and became the first champion to defend the title, when he also submitted Jakub Kowalewicz in March. Bubba Jenkins, in turn, will make his debut for Brave Combat Federation after signing a long-term contract with the promotion. Division I college wrestling champion in the United States, Jenkins trains at Black House and has a record of 12 wins and four losses.

Brave 16 will mark the Middle East's biggest MMA organization's second time in the UAE. The first show was Brave 4 which, interestingly enough, crowned Boudegzdame as champion. Still in 2018, the promotion will visit Morocco, Colombia, Pakistan, Bahrain, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and India.
