Dominick Cruz is cleared by doctors to return to the UFC octagon

With the license, former WEC and UFC bantamweight champion wants to return before the end of the year and wants the winner of Dillashaw x Garbrandt

At the height of his professional MMA career, Dominick Cruz He suffered many injuries that took him out of the Ultimate Octagon for two years. This Thursday (26), during the “Media Day” of UFC 227, the former champion was questioned by his colleague and Fox Sports commentator, Michael Bisping about your return. 'The Dominator' assured that he was cleared by his doctor and asked to face the winner of the fight TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrand before the end of the year.

“I've just been cleared by the doctor, so I'm ready to go back. I'm going to talk to [Sean] Shelby, I'm going to talk to everyone. I'm in the right way. I'm going to fight before the end of the year is my goal. We'll see what happens. I know that Tj dillashaw e cody garbrandt are fighting and I should be having the winner of this, that's what everyone wants to see. So, I hope someone has some knowledge about them and gives me this fight right away and we’ll see what happens”, warned Cruz.

The two fighters have already crossed paths with Cruz, Dillashaw was defeated by Dominick in the ufc boston in January 2016. While, Garbrandt beat the former champion at UFC 207 in December of the same year.

According to Cruz, he recovered from an arm injury that took him out of a fight against Jimmie rivera in December 2017. The injury was initially not operated on and the fighter later had complications during his recovery, which left him out of the cage for longer.

Dominick's return date has not yet been confirmed, but he would like his first fight to be on December 8th in Toronto. “Ask them to sign, I accept that,” Cruz concluded.

The former bantamweight champion has a record of 24 fights, with 22 wins and two losses. The two setbacks of his career were for Urijah faber still in the WEC in March 2007 and Garbrandt at UFC 207.
